Leslie is the Central Illinois Parent Mentor. She is the mother of two young boys. Both of her children receive special education services through West Lincoln Broadwell Elementary School. Leslie is currently a lead case worker for Catholic Charities and she is also a Parent Consultant for Bright Futures Pre-K program at Adams School in Lincoln. She has had a lot of experience supporting parents and children, and now has experience as a parent receiving special services.

She plans to utilize community resources available, as well as those in the school system to help families understand the process and receive help for their children. She hopes to provide encouragement and help in creating a support system that helps families feel confident that their child's needs are being met. She is very excited to have the opportunity to help families in any way she can. Tri County Special Education has received grant funding from the Illinois State Board of Education to fund this position.
