Cindy is the mother of 4 children, one who was diagnosed with
autism in 1993. She has always had her kids in public school and
has been through the IEP process from preschool to Adult Services
including guardianship. She worked in an integrated preschool as a
paraprofessional for 5 years and is working on her Bachelor's
degree in Early Childhood Education. She has worked with families,
taught workshops on parenting, autism, social competence and many
others.
Cindy has a desire to see parents and schools partner together
to provide the best educational experience for kids with special
needs. She loves to find creative ways to meet the needs of kids,
parents and school staff.
Tri County Special Education has received grant funding from the
Illinois State Board of Education to fund this position.
