The U.S. Department of Education provides the Helping Your Child publication series, which aims to provide parents with the tools and information necessary to help their children succeed in school and life. These booklets feature practical lessons and activities to help their school aged and preschool children master reading, understand the value of homework and develop the skills and values necessary to achieve and grow.

PARENT MENTOR IMPACT SURVEY:

The ISBE and the Parent Mentor Project want to learn more about the experiences of parents with children who have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and the impact of the services of the Parent Mentor working in your area. To take this survey online, you will need to know the name of the school district that operates the Parent Mentor Project in your area. The survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete.
