Understanding Data to Create Dialogue Between Parents and Educators: Explore data and understand the platform that data provides to allow parents, students, and teachers to engage in dialogue about student learning goals, progress, and action steps to achieve these goals.

How Effective Communicaton Leads to Meaningful Collaboration Between Parents and Educators: Communication is the basis for any strong relationship and is especially important with respect to bridging the gap between parents and educators.  Effective communication leads to meaningful family involvement that will support individual student progress, as well as impact the school and community.

PARENT MENTOR IMPACT SURVEY:

The ISBE and the Parent Mentor Project want to learn more about the experiences of parents with children who have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and the impact of the services of the Parent Mentor working in your area. To take this survey online, you will need to know the name of the school district that operates the Parent Mentor Project in your area. The survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete.
