S.M.A.R.T. Goal Resources

Parent Leaders:  Review the links below to guide you as you develop your action plan based on the priorities identified at the PT3 session. It is important to develop goals that will help you be successful in your work. 

Goals should be Specific, Measurable , Attainable, Realistic, Time-Oriented or Time-Sensitive. 

IEP:  Goals are all part of writing the Individualized Education Plan-Program (IEP). More importantly, writing good goals that meet the specific child's need are critical to the process.

PARENT MENTOR IMPACT SURVEY:

The ISBE and the Parent Mentor Project want to learn more about the experiences of parents with children who have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and the impact of the services of the Parent Mentor working in your area. To take this survey online, you will need to know the name of the school district that operates the Parent Mentor Project in your area. The survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete.
