Central Illinois Down Syndrome Organization

The Central Illinois Down Syndrome Organization (CIDSO) is a not-for-profit organization of families and interested persons working to increase public awareness, support families, and improve opportunities for those touched by Down syndrome.

Goals for CIDSO include:

• Supporting families as they adjust to the birth of a child with Down syndrome
• Providing informational and educational opportunities to families and interested persons
• Providing support for new and expanded educational, recreational, social, vocational, and residential opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome
• Providing legislative, informational, and advocacy support on issues impacting the lives of people with Down syndrome
• Providing social support to families
• Providing public awareness activities
